Blogging Etiquette Tips For Bloggers

1. Add the direct source link to the blog and this will give credit that is due. You do not want to be accused of plagiarizing which means "stealing ideas or actual passages from someone else's work and pretending they are your own."

2. Good etiquette would also consist of readers who have taken time out to read your blog and cared enough to have left a comment therefore responding to some comments on your blog in a friendly manner is appreciated. Let the readers know you have read what they had to say. It can be difficult or impossible to respond to all and it is not expected but do acknowledge some at least. Do not delete comments off your blog just because you do not agree with their viewpoint. However If the comment is flaming, Insulting, breaking kat rules, nasty or inappropriate then feel free to report that and the comment will be cross checked for evaluation.

3. If another blogger has inspired you to write what you have prepared then give them a mention in your blog as a courtesy gesture.

4. Honesty is the best Policy, Always remain honest in what your blog will consist of, be yourself and stay truthful. Do not say what other people want to hear and do offer constructive criticism. Keep your blogs integrity is an important factor.

5. If you have an Issue with a reader then directly message them and resolve the situation instead of creating chaos in the public eye which will then resolve any further negativity that can impact your future blogging and reputation. If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all, as a blogger you want to hear from all sides and give appreciation to your readers for responding. However, shall there be a need to debate on such comments then that should be done while maintaining a friendly and respectful attitude. Avoid leaving negative feedback and never respond in anger.

6. Keep track of who responds and pay a favor by commenting on their blog which can form a relationship with your readers. You do not have to comment on all blogs but acknowledge those who have acknowledged yours in return as a courtesy gesture.

7. Writing a blog will also need to be spelled correctly and readable to have the readers understand what you have to say. Use a spell checker and even Google translate will help you with that. Having poor grammar can result in confusion and undesirable feedback.

8. Own up to your mistakes If any Information was Incorrect and let our readers know. This is considered good manners and you will gain more respect as a blogger.

First Time Blogger Etiquette Tips

1. Who are you and what has made you want to join the blogroll? A great way to introduce yourself as a first time blogger is to let the readers know more about you along with the blog you are deciding to post. Again, this can begin a form of blogging relationships and attract more viewers and a little personality can do wonders.

2. Follow the steps above in Blogging Etiquette Tips also which applies to all bloggers old and new.

3. Writing a first blog can be overwhelming. Look at the previous blogs and capture your target audience by doing a little research on Ideas and what has been a focus in the past. This will help scour a few brainstorm Ideas If you can not think of anything right away. Here are a few ways to brainstorm that Idea...
Sit quietly and start writing Ideas on paper or your notepad as they come out within a set time limit. After the time limit has been reached go through all the topics you have written down and choose the best and suiting one to start on. If you do not like the topics then leave them be and continue again on a time limit and 20 minutes should be about right until you have the one that makes you smile and you will say "perfect."

4. Save your work as a draft for later editing and adding the final touches. Make sure your blog will consist of 3 major part factors which is the Introduction first followed by the story and lastly ending with the conclusion. Start with Rule 1 in First Time Blogger Etiquette Tips followed by the story which has now started to grab the attention of readers. Last will be your ending of the story by examples of summing the blog up and asking readers for feedback or ask a thought provoking question. Even asking to share their story Is a good Idea also.

5. Having a problem about coming up with an Idea can happen and that is why the kat bloggers are here and surely will answer a question or guide you on the right path, politely message a blogger and they can help If needed or ask In the community, after all we have a great and friendly community always willing to help so count on that as needed.

6. Want to ramble on about a heated discussion then again follow the Blogging Etiquette Tips for all bloggers and refrain from violating any kat rules and remain in a positive and friendly atmosphere.

7. Use metaphors to illustrate the ideas that have crossed your mind. Talk about your life experience If you would want to share that but whatever personal Issue you share then do leave an Inspiring note on how to help others overcome a similar situation. You need to ask yourself "If my readers are reading my problems I have faced and battled then what advice can I give back to help in the same situation."

8. Great, you have posted a blog and it was a hit, therefore there is no need to post everyday although you can and would be appreciated under certain circumstances such as they are inspiring, entertaining and valued. Posting blogs about the same thing you see already posted often is actually a waste of the blogroll. So make each blog worth the read and do not feel you are a blog robot, be original and creative and focus on quality instead of quantity.

9. Never and I repeat never put yourself down in your blogs. Stating you know your blog sucks is pretty harsh and will make the readers wonder If you think it sucks then why have you posted it. If you don't care about your blog then why should the readers. You need to feel your blog is one in a million and It should be valued and capture the eyes of all readers.

10. Oh the distress of a failed blog will make you feel as though you should not blog anymore or think twice about posting another blog. No fear, this can and has happened many times to new bloggers and the key is to show your strength by not giving up and standing your ground. Make another blog and learn from any mistakes that will impact a stronger and more admiral blog to come.

Blogging Etiquette Tips Examples Do's and DONTS

DO NOT post a copy and paste such as this style.

From childhood's hour I have not been
As others were -- I have not seen
As others saw -- I could not bring
My passions from a common spring --
From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow -- I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone --
And all I lov'd -- I lov'd alone --
Then -- in my childhood -- in the dawn
Of a most stormy life -- was drawn
From ev'ry depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still --
From the torrent, or the fountain --
From the red cliff of the mountain --
From the sun that 'round me roll'd
In its autumn tint of gold --
From the lightning in the sky
As it pass'd me flying by --
From the thunder, and the storm --
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view --

Do Post a Copy and Paste in this style.

example: Here is an inspiring poem I came across as a child. I first came across this one day when...."write why, how and what made you want to post this poem"
"also add what has been inspiring from this poem and remember to consist of 3 factors in a blog and give credit that is due."

From childhood's hour I have not been
As others were -- I have not seen
As others saw -- I could not bring
My passions from a common spring --
From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow -- I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone --
And all I lov'd -- I lov'd alone --
Then -- in my childhood -- in the dawn
Of a most stormy life -- was drawn
From ev'ry depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still --
From the torrent, or the fountain --
From the red cliff of the mountain --
From the sun that 'round me roll'd
In its autumn tint of gold --
From the lightning in the sky
As it pass'd me flying by --
From the thunder, and the storm --
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view --

DO NOT write a few lines in a blog.

I am new here and this is my first time blogging. I hope to write more, "blah blah blah."

Do write more then a few lines and remember to add details from Rule 1 in "First Time Blogger Etiquette Tips" along with a 3 part blog also from Rule 4. Give it life and capture your audience.

DO NOT write a few lines even If you have blogged before.

Hey I just want to say to everyone out there thanks and I want to know if anyone would like to join me.

DO post with more words, read all the Blogger Etiquette Tips

If you already have posted a blog or two before and they have not done very well then re-read all these rules for tips.

DO NOT post a blog that can easily be posted and more appropriate in the community category relating to these topics that do exist.
